What is the aura?
The aura is the bioelectric energy field that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body. It is not a mystical concept โ it is a measurable electromagnetic reality. Every cell in your body generates a tiny electrical charge, and the combined effect of billions of cells creates a field of energy that extends beyond the physical boundary of the skin. This field is your aura, and it is as much a part of you as your heartbeat.
The layers of the aura
The aura is understood in energy healing traditions to have multiple layers, each corresponding to a different aspect of our being โ physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The layer closest to the body is the most dense and most directly connected to physical health. The outer layers are subtler, relating to our emotional life, our thought patterns and our deeper spiritual connection. A skilled energy healer can sense these layers and identify where energy is flowing freely and where it has become blocked or depleted.
How the aura becomes blocked
Our energy fields are constantly responding to everything around us โ other people, environments, experiences, emotions and thoughts. Stress, trauma, grief, prolonged illness, difficult relationships and even the energy of the spaces we inhabit can all leave imprints on the aura. Over time, these imprints can create blockages โ areas where energy no longer flows freely, creating a kind of stagnation that eventually manifests as physical, emotional or mental symptoms.
Signs your energy field needs attention
You may not be able to see your aura, but you can feel its condition. Persistent fatigue that sleep doesn't resolve, a sense of heaviness or low mood without obvious cause, difficulty thinking clearly, emotional reactivity that feels out of proportion, a feeling of being somehow disconnected from yourself โ these are often signs that the energy field is depleted or blocked and would benefit from healing attention.
How healing restores the aura
In a Bi-Aura session, the practitioner works directly with the energy field โ sensing its quality, identifying where energy is congested or absent, and using specific techniques to clear, balance and recharge the field. This is not something done to you passively. Your own energy field participates actively in the process, and most people notice shifts during and immediately after a session โ a sense of lightness, warmth, deep calm, or simply feeling more like themselves.
